I was fortunate enough to be invited by Icelandair to fly on their first flight from Montreal to Reykjavik last week. The new seasonal service adds yet another Canadian gateway to Iceland, a country that is experiencing an amazing boom in tourism.
After spending the last few days there, I can see why. It’s a land of jaw-breaking beauty populated by people that are funny, welcoming, warm and happy to share their wonderful country with visitors.

At #Reykjavik's Matur og Drykkur #restaurant, Helga Sigurdardottir is their patron saint and her encyclopedic 1954 housekeeping manual, from which they derived their name, is their divine text. The title means #food and #drink in Icelandic and they serve both in an excellent manner.
