Yesterday, Sept. 28, was Czech Statehood Day, not be confused with Czech Independence Day which exactly a month later. The date is actually the feast day for St. Wenceslas, the patron Saint of the country. You may remember him from the Christmas song Good King Wenceslas.
In honour of the occasion, here are some photos that depict a tiny portion of the country’s beauty and I’m not sure if I want to call it Czech Republic, which sounds awkward in English, or the newer moniker of Czechia.
